Earn Your CCUFC For a Fraction of the Cost
The Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation’s partnership with CU Difference and America’s Credit Unions trains credit union staff to earn their Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation through the Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP).
FiCEP is designed for credit union staff who work in financial counseling, collections, and loan departments, or any other staff members who are committed to helping members gain control of their financial future.
The Foundation significantly subsidizes this program to encourage all of Wisconsin’s credit unions to get their staff certified as CCUFCs. Over 300 credit union professionals have earned their CCUFC in the last decade.
Registration for the 2026 program is now open through Friday, April 10 or until all 100 seats are filled!
Registration is limited to 100!
Program Details
FiCEP includes 10 training sessions (nine webinars and one in-person session). It is strongly preferred that you attend the webinars live to participate in discussion; however, they will also be available as a recording.
The in-person session provides hands-on training, networking, and the sharing of best practices. Special training and coaching will help you develop a detailed vision and plan for financial counseling at your credit union.
The in-person session also includes a proctored exam which is required to receive the Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation.
On average, students should expect to spend approximately 15-30 minutes studying each chapter, 60 minutes participating in each webinar, and additional time as needed to review the materials before the exam. Each webinar is recorded and is sent to the students shortly after it takes place.
